| Liza Chrust’s work can best be described as a cultural landscape, capturing world communities and their respective inhabitants. Her subjects connect the physical dimensions of the land with the cultural and spiritual components of their worlds, introducing the viewer to foreign communities and alternative standards of living. Several of her photographs have been recognized by other professionals, as her work received an honourable mention in the 2009 IPA Awards, Int' Photography Awards. Living and studying in New York City has given Liza the opportunity to work with some great names in the art world. She is fortunate to have been recognized by several art world professionals here in New York and through that received some valuable advice, connections, and inspiration. Liza’s formal background and education began at Parson’s School of Design where she studied with some of the best and the brightest minds and eyes in the industry. Since graduation she has held positions in the photographic world ranging from photo-editor and retoucher to on-set photo assistant and ultimately, photographer in her own right. Liza has produced photo shoots for both Men’s Health and In Style Magazines and aided renowned photographers George Holz and Joshua Lutz. These experiences ultimately led to her position at MTV.com where she was an in-house photographer and retoucher. You can check out her portfolio at (MTV Portfolio). In addition to her MTV.com projects, Liza is pursuing freelance opportunities in both travel photography and portraiture. She offers her talent and experience to help you fulfil your professional and creative endeavours.
